The Serpentine Summer Party is the gallery’s annual fundraiser, hosted by Michael R. Bloomberg, Bettina Korek and Hans Ulrich Obrist, This year, for the first time since the event began in 2000, one artist co-hosted the Summer Party: the world-renowned Australian actor, producer, and humanitarian Cate Blanchett. It was held around the Serpentine Pavilion on their 25th anniversary by Bangladeshi architect Marina Tabassum. Michael Bloomberg held a VIP reception at the Serpentine Gallery North before the Party started.
