In his 22nd year the Guleguychú carnival started this year's festival season, on every Saturday for ten weeks at the corsódromo (a converted former railway station) 25.000 spectators in a night dream by the rhythm of the three comparsas , Ará Yeví, Marí Marí and Kamarr swept the catwalk.
The largest outdoor festival in the Argentine summer season was attended by an audience of locals and tourists, who were struck by the beauty and strength of their members, the originality of their costumes, the majesty of their people and their floats. After the opening inauguration ceremony, last year champion Ará Yeví broke the ice and presented from the Tiro Federal club 'Beasts' as a grotesque anteroom of human existence. Lacking conscience they unceremoniously unleashed their passions, enjoying raw flesh, without law, without order and without guilt. But soon differences began to settle, and some beasts deployed their dominion over the rest, 'says part of the argument'.
Marí Marí the second comparsa paraded the catwalk with 'Canta Canta' is the recreation of those moments that were recorded in our retinas and in our hearts. Dim memories reincarnated on the catwalk; evoking joys, loves, sadness and the full happiness of singing your name, advances his argument. After a year out of competition, the Central Entrerianos return with more strength for carnival glory. The courtyard of the club was filled with fans who want to see the multi-champion shine again.
And finally, the closing of the first night Kamarr were in charge with the theme 'Pandemia' is a global spread of a new disease. In their argument from ancestral times, influenza viruses spread throughout the world carrying diseases, pain, horror, death and desolation. They were dark times that marked our history, giving rise to a business for few. There the laboratories showed through their capitalist tools: medicines and vaccines, only within the reach of a social class. Undoubtedly, it was a comparsa that appealed to social criticism and reflection.
