There was a green element this year at Freize more than ever before, with not only Green being their colour this year but many exhibitors reducing their carbon footprint by using sea rather than air to transport works.. and many of the props and backing boards etc at the fair were recycled by other fairs or saved for next time..even the plastic VIP cards are no more, and the Fair had gone 'digital'.
The Fair featured more than 160 of the world’s leading galleries with art works for view and sale from over 1,000 of today’s leading artists from all around the world.
There were ambitious new projects by emerging artists from around the world including Karon Davis, Joy Labinjo and Kembra Pfahler.
Many celebrities and VIPs attended the event this year, including Grayson Perry, Claudia Schieffer, Tracey Emin amongst others.
