In the heart of Mayfair, the more discerning collectors and art world's chicest eye attended the elegant Daniel Katz Gallery for the unveiling of contemporary artist Leila Bartell’s latest work. Leila Bartell is known for her abstract works that draw from classical influences. During this residency, Bartell is showing a new work inspired by Cimon and Iphigenia, a Baroque sculpture by Filipo Parodi from the gallery’s collection.
Bartell, whose practice is deeply informed by the Old Masters, sees this residency as a continuation of her exploration of classical themes and focused on the intersection of classical art and modern abstraction, offering a fresh interpretation of a timeless story.
