Racing began at Ascot on 11th August 1711, when Queen Anne dedicated the heath to horse racing. It is a glorious occasion when high fashion and millinery masterpieces take center stage alongside flat racing´s most elite. The Gold Cup was presented by His Majesty King Charles III and H.M Queen Camilla in the year of their Coronation. The highly competitive racing was watched and enjoyed by millions, both here and abroad.
